Granite Orthopaedics Breaks Ground on New Prescott Facility
June 4, 2025 — Prescott, Arizona
On a dramatic and beautiful Wednesday afternoon, thunderous rain gave way to radiant sunshine—just in time for a major milestone in local healthcare. Granite Orthopaedics officially broke ground on its brand-new, state-of-the-art medical facility in north Prescott, marking a significant step forward in the future of orthopaedic care in Yavapai County.
The new 7,500-square-foot building, located at the intersection of Lakeside Village and Willow Lake Road, will serve as the future home for expanded orthopaedic services. Construction is being managed by Reserve Builders, LLC, with project completion anticipated in 2026.
Attending the groundbreaking were members of the Granite Orthopaedics team, Dr. W. Lee Richardson, Dr. Evan Simonson, and Dr. Bassett, along with George Rothfuss of Reserve Builders, LLC, who held the ceremonial golden shovel as construction officially commenced. While this was a staff-only event, the team plans to host a formal ribbon cutting ceremony upon completion—either in late 2026 or early 2027.
A New Era of Orthopaedic Care in Prescott
This facility marks a significant investment in the community and Granite Orthopaedics’ continued mission: delivering cutting-edge care with a compassionate, patient-first approach. The expanded space will allow for more advanced treatment capabilities, improved patient flow, and increased appointment availability.

Built for the Community
The design and construction are being handled by local firm Reserve Builders, LLC, known for their expertise in custom medical and commercial construction projects. The building is being designed with patient comfort and operational efficiency in mind, including advanced diagnostic equipment, modern treatment rooms, and ample parking.
What This Means for Our Patients
Granite Orthopaedics has served the Prescott area for years, offering specialized treatment for joint pain, sports injuries, arthritis, and orthopaedic surgery. This expansion ensures continued access to the highest quality care, closer to home.
While construction is underway, the practice will continue to operate as usual at its current locations in Prescott, at 1223 Willow Creek Rd, and Prescott Valley, at 2960 N Centre Ct. Patients can expect no interruption in care.
